Don't throw away that old oak dining set jut because it's become dated!
I recently acquired a frumpy looking dining table and chairs, and instead of turning my nose up (hey, poor architect, I'll take anything!) I decided to spruce them up.
Using some striking black and white fabric from Ikea and a staple gun, I transformed a set of six chairs and two carvers into the centerpiece of the dining room!

Very James Bond Darling
Like many who saw Skyfall recently and fell in love with the action, the cars and Q, we were a bit sceptical of the Inception-esque abandoned island wondering since when did the new James Bond movies ever use this much computer generated effects...
It's a real place!
Japan has so many deserted mining towns and other landmarks they even have a name for the phenomenon: Haikyo
Have a look below at some of these amazing spaces left behind - a photographers dream!

Urban Skies
Some cities lend themselves to fantastic skylines no matter what perspective you have.
Name this city!
My last photo probably gave the game away! I spent six months studying in Milan and fell in love with it's many faces. I am constantly encouraging people to visit who dismiss it as industrial and bland... look harder!
Welcome to our blog!
Are you sick and tired of not having room on your computer because you collect too many beautiful images? So are we!
We have filled entire external hard-drives with pretty pictures of buildings as architects often do, so we have decided to share our love of great design and innovative ideas.
Cheers,
The Y team
